DSCI’s Mission is to create trustworthiness of Indian companies as global sourcing service providers. Towards this end, it creates security and privacy awareness among organizations and individuals, builds capacity in these areas, provides certification services, and creates a common platform for sharing knowledge among other activities as part of its charter. DSCI Chapters are being created to promote its mission.

Chapter Mission statement

• To create a local platform for promoting sharing of knowledge about data and privacy protection and foster a community of security professionals
• To act as a point of presence for the DSCI locally, implement its activities and provide support for DSCI’s local members
• To create awareness among industry professionals and other stakeholders about security and privacy issues
• To generate interest in data and privacy protection among Indian academics and to encourage education and research on the subject
• To promote and popularize standards and best practices for data security implementation in organizations
• To implement the activities planned by DSCI
