In mid-last year, after industry consultation meeting on it’s work plan, DSCI restructured its Corporate Membership Program to ensure collaborative strengthening of the security posture of  the country.

While cyberspace provides a platform for innovation and prosperity, besides the means to improve general welfare around the globe, it increases threats and vulnerabilities as technological advancements take place. Cyber security and privacy become critical to growth in Industry sectors such as Banking, BFSI, Energy, Manufacturing, eCommerce and Healthcare among others, where information technology is a key business driver.

Sophistication of attack vectors, increasing availability and accessibility to attack payloads, a high level of coordination of underground actors for launching attacks, and involvement of state and non-state actors, warrant a conscious, proactive and forward leaning management on security.

DSCI has closely worked with industry to solve their queries, exchanging ideas, organizing workshops and developing guidance notes through membership services. Information security implementation and strategy, performance criteria for SIEM solution, Email Security, Implementation of Next Generation Firewall, Security and privacy consideration of analytics and use of Google Maps by energy companies are one of the many guidance documents that DSCI has exclusively shared with its member organisations.

DSCI corporate membership offerings include both Industry sector specific and organization specific benefits. While on the one hand, the latter helps improve organizational security posture to build a forward-leaning defence, the former helps build a formal industry level mechanism for concerted and coordinated defence. Being a not-for-profit organization, DSCI delivers these benefits in a technology and vendor-neutral way.
