What’s Inside

Dsci Stakeholders

DSCI understands stakeholders’ needs, prevailing dynamics and encompasses these in its varied initiatives, programs and outreach activities. Creating stakeholder value is a key priority area for us.

Our corporate members and chapters

In 2015-16, we continued to work in close collaboration with the industry to address the key challenges faced by them in building and strengthening their cyber security infrastructure and establishing best practices, frameworks and guidelines.

DSCI Chapters

During the past year, our Chapters organised meetings on various facets of cyber security and privacy. Our regional presence encompasses a strong community of more than 4,000 security and privacy professionals spread across 12 cities of Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bhubaneshwar, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Jaipur and Coimbatore.

Programs and Initiatives

Public Advocacy: DSCI takes a proactive role in ‘policy enablement’ that affects Information and Communications Technology (ICT) engagement and enactment through the Government.

Cyber Security

Our work in cyber security has led to substantive and sustained engagement with the government to strengthen the cyber security posture in India and promote the country’s interests at various international forums, through engagements with key stakeholders.

Trans-border Data Flows

The complexity of international business demands factorization of a maturing business and technological landscape, rapid globalization, increasing value of data and its exchange over e-borders. These, in turn necessitate an examination of data policies, frameworks, practices and standards of the country.

Cloud Computing

Cloud computing has massively impacted the global IT landscape. Fast-paced adoption of diverse models of cloud and technologies has made it a definitive game-changer, with cyber security and privacy emerging as a top concern in the domain.

Internet Governance

Our work has strongly advocated a multi-stakeholder model for Internet Governance (IG), which is proportional to the Internet population of nations.
