Rama Vedashree, CEO

Ms. Rama Vedashree is the CEO of Data Security Council of India since June 2016

Prior to moving to DSCI she was Vice President, NASSCOM leading all initiatives in Domestic IT, eGovernance and Smart Cities among others. At NASSCOM, she has also led the Healthcare initiative in partnership with apex Health Sector body, NATHEALTH and the NASSCOM-DSCI Cyber Security Task Force.

DSCI under her leadership is pursuing a Cyber Security Industry growth charter to make India into a global hub for cyber security and grow to $35B by 2025.

With a rich and varied experience of 30+ years in the Industry, she has had long stints at NIIT Technologies, Microsoft and General Electric. Her previous roles include that of Director in Microsoft Global Services, and Vice President, GE India. She has experience in the diverse domains of IT consulting, Strategic Accounts and Business Development, e-Governance projects, and Business Development for Infrastructure projects in Health and Water Sectors.

She is a member of many committees of Government of India, including the Data Protection Committee, Cloud Expert Group and Financial Inclusion Advisory Board.

A Gold Medallist from the University of Hyderabad, she has also completed an Executive Education program from Harvard, and a short program in High Performance Computing from Cornell University.


Vinayak Godse, Vice President

Vinayak has a total 24 years of experience in Information Security, IT Transformation, Telecom Switching Infrastructure, Intelligent Networking and Broadband Infrastructure.

He is working as Senior Director, Data Security Council of India, a not-for-profit company set by NASSCOM, an industry body of IT and BPM companies. He oversee DSCI’s initiatives to enhance security and privacy culture in the country, create trust in the cyber space, build cyber security industry in the country, enact conducive policy environment, build critical capabilities and skills for cyber security, develop security community and foster global partnership.

He is also engaged in DSCI outreach program at national and international platforms in establishing collaboration with different legal and regulatory bodies, data protection authorities, global clients and outsource service providers of all categories including small and medium players He is principal author of DSCI Security Framework (DSF) and DSCI Privacy Framework (DPF). He is also closely working with Department of Information Technology (DeitY) and other ministries of Government of India on cyber security initiatives, security and privacy surveys and making of rules for IT Act.

Vinayak contributes to the national and sectoral initiatives on various initiatives, which include empanelment auditors by CERT-In, RBI sub-committees on cyber security, members of various committees set up for national cyber security, developing National Information Security Policy Guidelines [NISPG] for MHA, etc.

He is engaged in cyber security industry building in the country, fostering security research and product engineering, security product and service export and building ecosystem for security product entrepreneur

Prior to joining DSCI he was working with the Global Consulting Practice of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) as a Consultant, Information Risk Management.

Additional Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India (Aug 2015 – continuing) (Also Chief Vigilance Officer for the Ministry)

As the Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India, he is responsible for coordinating the Digital India programme. This includes coordinating with concerned Ministries/State Governments/agencies in public and private sector for development of policies/frameworks and implementation of projects for three key pillars of Digital India: namely, Digital infrastructure, provision of Digital Services; and Digital empowerment of society.

Is also coordinating the promotion of Electronic Design and Manufacturing Industry in the country. Has also initiated several programmes to develop and promote innovation in Electronics and ICT sector. Is also looking after all matters relating to Internet Governance and skill development in areas of Electronics and ICT.

Mr. G. K. Pillai, Chairman, DSCI

Shri G. K. Pillai is now the Chairman of Data Security Council of India. He joined Indian Administrative Service in year 1972 and belongs to Kerala cadre. He studied at Bishop Cotton Boys High School, Bangalore and St. Joseph’s College, Bangalore and did M. Sc at IIT, Madras.

In Kerala he started his career as Sub-Collector, Quilon in the year 1974. He worked in diverse fields of Revenue Administration, and was District Collector, Quilon. He was Deputy Secretary, Labour, Special Officer for Cashew Industry, Special Secretary, Industries. Later he became as Secretary, Health and Family Welfare, in the State during 1993-96. He later served as Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister of Kerala during the period 2001-04.

In the Government of India, his first central deputation was in Ministry of Defence as Under Secretary/Deputy Secretary during 1978-1982. During 1988-1993, he served as Director/Joint Secretary in the Department of Surface Transport, later served in the Ministry of Home Affairs as Joint Secretary (North East) from 1996 to 2001. In 2004, he joined Ministry Commerce and Industry as Additional Secretary, Department of Commerce, Special Secretary, Commerce and then elevated to the rank of Secretary, Department of Commerce in the year 2006. He served as Secretary, Department of Commerce from 2006 to June 2009 and dealt with matters like WTO, RMTR & UNCTAD, SEZ and EOUs. He was also Chairman of the BOA for SEZ/EOU.

He has represented State and Central Government delegations to USA, EU, Argentina, Brazil, DRC, Singapore, Japan, Sri Lanka, Philippines, Canada, Bangladesh, Myanmar, China, U.K., Thailand and Slovenia.

He was appointed as Officer on Special Duty in the Ministry of Home Affairs on 11 June 2009. Shri G. K. Pillai took over as Union Home Secretary on June 30, 2009. He was also concurrently Secretary of the Department of Justice, Ministry of Law & Justice. He retired on June 30, 2011 as the Union Home Secretary of India. Post retirement, he is a Distinguished Fellow at IDSA, chairman of a Venture Capital Fund sponsored by the IIT Alumni Trust. He is also Chairman Tata International.


Mr. R. Chandrashekhar, President, NASSCOM

Chandrashekhar has been Chairman of the Telecom Commission and Secretary in the Department of Telecommunications in the Ministry of Communications & Information Technology, Government of India from September, 2010 till his retirement from Government service at the end of March, 2013. Earlier, he was Secretary in the Department of Information Technology from June, 2009 to September, 2010 and also held concurrent charge of this assignment from February, 2011 to March, 2012 in addition to his current charge.

As Telecom Secretary, he was responsible for driving several key policies and strategies covering licensing, spectrum management, National Broadband Plan, Convergence, Manufacturing, Investment, security, R&D and the National Telecom Policy 2012. He was the principal architect behind a triad of policies covering Telecommunications, Electronics and Information Technology that was unveiled in draft form by the Government of India in October, 2011. All the three policies were approved by the Government in 2012. The thrust of these policies is to optimally leverage Information and Communication Technologies to find innovative solutions in education, health care, financial inclusion, e-governance, skill development, employment generation, etc.

As the Secretary of the Department of Information Technology, he steered the formulation of national policies for the IT sector and for promoting Electronic System Design and Manufacturing and R&D in the Electronics and IT sector. He was also responsible for overseeing implementation of a number of major national initiatives in the sector including the National e-Governance Plan, which he played a key role in designing and in formulating the Electronic Service Delivery Act. Earlier, he established the first Department of Information Technology in the country in the state of Andhra Pradesh and was Secretary of the Department from June, 1997 to December, 1999. The policies and strategies he formulated catapulted the state to the forefront of the country in the sector and became a role model for several states and countries.

Born in 1953, Mr. Chandrashekhar received a M.Sc. degree in Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay and a M.S. degree in Computer Science from the Pennsylvania State University, USA. He is widely travelled and has a unique understanding of cultural diversity, both within the country and across the world. He was conferred the Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration for the year 2007-08. He has been conferred several awards including Data Quest Path Breaker of the Year Award in 2005 and Distinguished Alumnus award of IIT-Mumbai in 2010.


BVR Mohan Reddy, Nominee Director

B.V.R. Mohan Reddy is a visionary who has placed India on the global map for leading-edge engineering research and development (ER&D) services. Having established Cyient (formerly Infotech Enterprises) in 1991, Mohan Reddy pioneered computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) solutions serving international clients.

Cyient is consistently ranked among the top 15 IT services exporters from India1. Cyient is also the largest independent exporter of high value research and development (R&D) services from India2. 7 of the top 10 global aerospace companies, 5 of the top 5 global rail companies, 2 of the top 5 global semiconductor companies, 7 of the top 10 heavy equipment companies are Cyient’s customers.

The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) CIE division conferred the distinguished Leadership Award on Mohan Reddy in 2011. This is the industry’s most prestigious global award for engineering. Mohan Reddy was the first Indian and the seventh recipient globally. Mohan Reddy was conferred the Distinguished Alumnus Award by Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur. It is the highest award given by the IIT to its alumni in recognition of their achievements of exceptional merit. He also received an Honorary Doctorate (Ph.D) from the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, Honorary degree of Doctor of Science from the Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, and Doctor of Science Honoris Causa from KL University, Vaddesaram, Vijayawada. Mohan Reddy is a Fellow of The Institute of Engineers (India).

Mohan Reddy’s dedicated commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has made an indelible mark on the lives of many individuals and is an acknowledged contributor to community, state and nation. Through its “Adopt-a- School” initiative, Cyient touches the lives of over 10,000 underprivileged children. To promote digital education and inclusive growth, Cyient Foundation launched a Digital Library at the Akshara Vidyalaya School in Nellore District, Andhra Pradesh. Cyient continues to contribute to India’s growth story by setting up development centers in Tier-2 towns of Andhra Pradesh such as Visakhapatnam and Kakinada and has created over 1,000 technology jobs in Kakinada alone. Cyient won ICSI (Institute of Companies Secretaries of India) National Award for Excellence in Corporate Governance 2014. Mohan Reddy is a Member of Board of Trustees of LV Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad.

Mohan Reddy is currently serving as Chairman of NASSCOM (National Association of Software & Service Companies), and has been a member of the Executive Council since 2003. At NASSCOM, Mohan Reddy laid the foundation of NASSCOM’s engineering services council (ER&D Forum) through a range of initiatives, including instituting industry research on ER&D services. In his previous role as Vice Chairman, NASSCOM, he was credited with establishing the Member Connect program. Mohan Reddy has also served as the Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Southern Region (2008-2009). Mohan Reddy is also Director of T-Hub by Government of Telangana. Mohan Reddy has immense passion towards promoting education in India. Towards this, Mohan Reddy serves as Member on the Board of NIIT University, Neemrana; Member of Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at lIlT, Hyderabad. The Honorable President of India in his capacity as the Visitor of IIT Hyderabad, has nominated Mohan Reddy as the Chairman of the Board of governors (BoG), for IIT Hyderabad in 2012.


Prof. N. Balakrishnan, Former Director, IISC

Prof. Balakrishnan was leading DSCI as Chairman since August 30, 2010 till 31st March,2015. Currently a Professor at the Department of Aerospace Engineering and at the Supercomputer Education and Research Centre, Indian Institute of Science (IISc). His areas of research include Numerical Electromagnetics, High Performance Computing and Networks, Polarimetric Radars and Aerospace Electronic Systems, Information Security, Digital Library and Speech Processing. He has more than 200 publications to his credit in international journals and international conferences and reports. Among his many awards and recognitions from India and abroad is the Padmashree, which he received from the President of India in 2002. Professor Balakrishnan is very active in many major Indian and international initiatives in IT planning and information security. He is also Visiting Professor at the Institute for Software Research International, Carnegie Mellon University in the U.S. He is a Fellow of all the major science and engineering academies in India and also a Fellow of TWAS, the third world academy of sciences. He continues to be on DSCI Board as Independent Director.


Mr. Raman Roy, Chairman, NASSCOM

Raman is widely regarded as the Pioneer and “Guru” of the BPO industry in India. He is fondly referred to as the “Father of the Indian BPO Industry”. He has played a pivotal role over the last 16 years in promoting Indian BPOs and proving that India can be a preferred location for Remote Processing.

Raman is a pioneer four times over, having successfully led the BPO initiatives of American Express, GE (now Genpact) and Spectramind (now Wipro BPO) before starting Quatrro in mid 2006. Raman was the CEO of GECIS, the Business Leader for American Express’ BPO business and the Founder and CEO of Spectramind. Raman is now the Founder, Chairman and Managing Director of Quatrro. Raman conceptualized and implemented the BPO and business strategy for all four companies. Raman launched Quatrro to focus on high end BPO services with a mix of incubation and acquisition led strategies. These have been targeted at the underserved areas with a focus on the uncontested market spaces.

Quatrro has successfully built businesses in Analytics, Risk Management, Interactive Entertainment Services, Knowledge Management, Legal, Mortgage, Finance and Accounting and more. Quatrro has also launched a branded technical support service targeted at mid market and the end customer.

Raman, with a guiding philosophy of enhancing the success rate of nascent businesses, is a founding member of the “Band of Angels,” a group of investors which has a passion to enable these businesses to create, scale and add value, while also addressing the acute shortage of funds available for start-ups.

Raman is deeply involved in shaping the future of the BPO industry in India, Mauritius and other geographies. He is a member of the Executive Committee of NASSCOM, Chairman of the BPO committee of ASSOCHAM, in addition to being a member of various committees formed by the central government and state-level governments. These include committees formed by various industry associations such as NASSCOM, CII and ASSOCHAM. Raman was also appointed to the high powered Working Group formed by the Indian Prime Minister’s Office for making recommendations on improving the supply of suitable talent to the IT & BPO sectors.

Raman is a rare example of a living practitioner of the BPO industry having created many successes and overcome many challenges. As a tribute to his contribution to the creation of the BPO industry in India Raman has been awarded the Dataquest Pathbreaker Award in 2002, the 2006 CfE Management Development Institute Award for Corporate Entrepreneurship and the Trailblazer Award for individual achievement at the Shared Service + Outsourcing: 2007 Global Conclave. Raman has also been awarded the Indiatimes BPO award under the category “Most significant contributor to the industry” and felicitated by the Institute of Economic Studies with the “Udyog Rattan 2007” award. Raman has participated in directly creating 35,000+ jobs in India and indirectly enabling the employment of over 700,000+ people by his pioneering efforts that led to the creation of the BPO industry.

Raman is a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Management Accountant with a doctorate in Management Accountancy. In his career spanning 30+ years, he has handled roles in Finance, Consulting, Operations and General Management with equal ease. He has a very hands-on approach to business and has first-hand experience and rare insights into servicing markets as diverse as North America, Europe, Japan, Asia Pacific and Australia.


Dr. A.S. Ramasastri, Director, IDRBT

Dr. A. S. Ramasastri joined as the Director (Designate) of the Institute in March 2014 and took over as the Director of the Institute on October 24, 2014.

Dr. Ramasastri brings with him very rich experience, both in academics as well as administration. Prior to joining the Institute, Dr. Ramasastri was the Chief General Manager-in-charge of Department of Information Technology at Reserve Bank of India. In the RBI, he has spearheaded many important projects including the Implementation of the Next Generation RTGS, adoption of international standards like XBRL and ISO 20022, conceptualizing and guiding of banks on Automated Data, and preparation of IT Vision of RBI for 2011-17.

Dr. Ramasastri has been a member of the Institute’s Governing Council, Member of Faculty of the RBI Staff College, and has authored two books on ‘Quantitative Methods for Valuation of Assets’ and ‘Quantitative Methods for Banking and Finance’ and the former has been published in Chinese too, apart from quite a few articles on Finance, Banking and IT in eminent journals and newspapers.

He has guided the Bank of Mauritius, Bank of Malaysia and Bank of Uganda on implementation of Data Warehouse, XBRL, etc., and delivered talks on standards and technology for data reporting at the International Monetary Fund and Bank of International Settlements.

Dr. Ramasastri holds a Ph.D in Finance from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras and was the top ranker in M.Sc (Statistics) from Madras University and B.Sc (Statistics) from Loyola College, Madras. He has also attended Advanced Management Programmes at the University of Oxford and Kellogg School of Management.


Dr. Kailash Katkar, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Quick Heal Technologies Limited

Dr. Kailash Katkar is the MD and CEO of Quick Heal Technologies Limited, India’s leading IT Security Solutions Company. He is responsible for the overall leadership, strategy and management of the company. Under his leadership, Quick Heal Technologies became the first Indian software product company to hit the capital markets in 2016.

Born in 1966 to a Maharashtrian family at Rahimatpur, a small village near Satara in Maharashtra, Kailash grew up in Pune and from a very young age, chose to break the norms of attending rigorous classroom sessions and decided to divert his inquisitiveness and hard work to start his own business. This little spur of thought guided by sheer grit and gumption drove him to set up his own business – from a small one-room, boot-strapped electrical device repair station to an IT Security Solutions empire spread worldwide.

As a true visionary, his strategic business approach has continuously produced significant business value for Quick Heal Technologies in the form of financial performance, customer satisfaction, market share and productivity. His strong commitment to operational excellence, an innovative approach to business problems, and an aptitude for partnering cross-functionally has made Quick Heal the most preferred consumer security solutions brand. In 2015, the company successfully forayed into enterprise cybersecurity with the launch of the brand ‘Seqrite’.

His brainchild Quick Heal Foundation functions in the areas of community welfare, education and creating awareness around cybersecurity. In 2017, Chitkara University felicitated Kailash with the Honorary Doctorate for his outstanding contribution to Business, Education and Humanity


Mr. Rajendra S Pawar, Chairman & Co-Founder, NIIT Group & Founder, NIIT University

Mr Rajendra S Pawar is the Chairman and Co-Founder of the NIIT Group, comprising NIIT Limited- a global leader in Skills and Talent Development and NIIT Technologies Limited- a Global IT solutions organization.

Set up in 1981, NIIT pioneered the computer education market in India, creating a completely new industry segment and taking it to consolidation and maturity. Mr Pawar has played a leadership role in nurturing NIIT into a leading Skills and Talent Development Corporation, offering learning solutions to Individuals, Enterprises and Institutions. Spread across 40 countries, NIIT has impacted over 35 million learners since inception.

In recognition of Mr Pawar's contribution towards changing the IT landscape for the country, the President of India awarded him the Padma Bhushan - one of the highest civilian awards given by the Government of India - in 2011.

Mr Pawar served as a member on the Prime Minister's National Council on Skill Development (2009-2014) and has also been a part of the PM's National Taskforce (1998), commissioned to develop India into an IT Superpower. He has been chairing the Committee on Policy Framework for Technology Based Education, Government of India. He is a Member of Rajasthan Chief Minister's Advisory Council and Member of Andhra Pradesh State Knowledge Advisory Board.

Actively involved in India's key Chambers of Commerce, Mr Pawar has led several ICT industry fora, including NASSCOM (National Association of Software & Service Companies) as its Chairman in 2011-12, giving voice to the sector's aspirations and goals. He is currently the Chairman of Cyber Security Task Force at NASSCOM. At CII (Confederation of Indian Industries), he has also chaired the IT Committee and the Education Committee. He is a Fellow of the Computer Society of India and the Institution of Electronics & Telecom Engineers.

Mr Pawar has been an ardent advocate of leveraging technology to make education accessible to the remotest corners in the country, to educate the vast population of underserved, school-aged children. His passion led to the launch of the Hole-in-the-Wall education (HiWEL) initiative in 1999 with Dr Sugata Mitra, Chief Scientist emeritus, NIIT. The path-breaking work done by NIIT in spreading computer literacy and improving the quality of education at grass root, through the HiWEL project has earned it the coveted- 'Digital Opportunity Award' by World Information Technology Services Alliance (WITSA) in 2008.

Mr Pawar has been appointed as the Consultant of the Advisory Committee on Guizhou’s Big Data industry, China in 2017. He has been a member of the International Business Council of the World Economic Forum and PIAC (Presidential International Advisory Council for IT) of the Government of South Africa.

Mr Pawar led NIIT to participate in the ambitious human capacity building project for Bhutan - Chiphen Rigpel - designed to help the country transition successfully into a modern Knowledge Society. The Government-assisted project was launched by the Prime Ministers of India and Bhutan on April 30, 2010 on the sidelines of the SAARC summit in Bhutan. The project in its entirety is expected to provide ICT skills to over a fifth of the population of Bhutan, to help them to become confident and empowered citizens of a connected and ICT-enabled world.

Mr Pawar's contributions have been widely acknowledged by the industry and he has been conferred prestigious awards like- the 'IT man of the Year' by IT industry journal, Dataquest; 'Master Entrepreneur of the Year' by Ernst & Young in 1999 and the 'IT Gem of India' at INFOCOM 2013, India's largest IT & Telecom convention, by the ABP Group, to name a few.

Known for promoting industry-academia alliances, Mr Pawar has been working closely with the country's well-known educational institutions. He is on the Board of Governors of India's premier institutions- the Indian School of Business (ISB) Hyderabad and the Scindia School. He has also served on the boards of IIT Delhi, IIM Bangalore, IIM Udaipur and has been a member of the University Court of Delhi University.

Having revolutionized the IT Training industry, Mr Pawar is involved in shaping a new model in Higher Education, the not-for-profit NIIT University.

Mr Pawar studied at the Scindia School, Gwalior and graduated from the country's prestigious engineering institution, IIT, Delhi in 1972 where he pursued the B. Tech programme in electrical engineering. At the Scindia School he received the 'Madhav Award' in 1999 and the Distinguished Alumnus Award at IIT in 1995. He has also been awarded an Honorary Doctoral Degree by the Rajiv Gandhi Technical University in 2005.

A strategic thinker with a distinguished combination of business domain knowledge, advanced digital technologies expertise and consultative solutioning; he partners with the clients to reimagine their business and drive transformational outcomes and accelerated business impact. 

In his roles as the Global CIO and Global Head of Product Development, he has envisioned and fostered EXL's enterprise and business-technology landscape and built the foundation of and managed our commercial-technology offerings through product development and platform business services. He strategizes business growth of Domain and client-centric products in alignment with changing industry landscape.

As Global CISO he instituted EXL’s cyber security framework and has been methodologically driving cross-functional cyber security governance. He has been instrumental in laying a strong foundation by establishing and maturing the information security, cyber security and information lifecycle management frameworks at EXL. He continues to provide ongoing guidance and management oversight as the core member of EXL’s security, privacy and business continuity steering committee.

Baljinder has a bachelor in electronics engineering and holds accreditations from Kellogg School of Management and Indian School of Business. He is an active member of the Chief Digital Officer, CTO and CIO fraternity, a distinguished speaker and a contributor in industry initiatives. He has been named in the 'CIO100 Hall of Fame' as industry leaders that drive strategic business value through Technology and Analytics Innovation.”


Mr. Vishal Salvi, Chief Information Security Officer & Head of Cyber Security Practice - Infosys

Vishal Salvi is Senior Vice President, Chief Information Security Officer and Head of the Cyber Security Practice for the Infosys Group since August 2016. He is responsible for the overall information and cyber security strategy and its implementation across Infosys Group. He is additionally responsible for driving security strategy, delivery, business and operations enabling digital enterprises secure and improve their overall posture.

Vishal has over 25 years of industry experience in Cybersecurity and Information Technology across different Industries. Prior to joining Infosys, he has performed various leadership roles in Cybersecurity and Information Technology at PwC (Partner Cyber – 2 years), HDFC Bank (SVP & CISO - 8 years), Standard Chartered Bank (SVP & Head Cyber Ops – 11 years), Global Trust Bank (IT Ops), Development Credit Bank (IT Ops) and Crompton Greaves (IT Sales).

Vishal has extensive management and domain experience in driving transformation Cybersecurity programs, delivery and sales in all key aspects i.e. Policy, Standards, Procedures, Awareness, Identity & Access Management, IT-GRC, Network Security, Incident Response, Security Monitoring, Malware protection, Cyber fraud management, Security configuration, Compliance, On-line Banking and ecommerce, Cryptography, Data Protection, Third Party Management, Business Continuity Planning, Cyber Defence Centres & Cloud Security etc.

He is a well-known leader in Cybersecurity industry within India as well as globally and has been part of the Cybersecurity domain for past two decades. He is a regular speaker in major local and global Cybersecurity conferences for sharing best practices and raising the Cybersecurity awareness across the industry. He is part of various Advisory Councils and Boards to provide leadership and direction on various Cybersecurity frameworks and standards to drive adoption of cyber security across industry. He has participated in various cases studies related to cyber security practices over the past decade.

Vishal holds a degree in computer science engineering and MBA in Finance. His certifications include CISM and DSCI Certified Privacy Professional. He has received numerous awards from prestigious institutions such as DSCI, CSO Forum, ISACA etc. Vishal is married to Shreya and have two daughters Manasi and Aditi.


Mr. Alok Ohrie, President and Managing Director, Dell Technologies India

Alok Ohrie leads Dell Technologies India and is responsible for Sales, Business Strategy and Development, Operations, Marketing, Manufacturing and Government Engagements.

Shri Gopalakrishnan S. is presently working as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) , Government of India, New Delhi.

He is a 1991 Batch officer from the Indian Administrative Services (IAS) from Tamil Nadu Cadre. He has worked at State and Central Government in areas such as Transport, HR, Commerce, Census, Food, IT etc.

At MeitY, his responsibilities include Cyber Security, Cyber Laws, Data Governance, Digital Payments, Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial intelligence, Emerging Technologies, Start-Ups & Innovation.
