48-hour Virtual Hackathon, awaits you to showcase your talent and create game based on the security theme. Security Theme will be release on 04-Nov-2015 by 1900 hours IST. SEGAMATHON 2015 provides a platform to enthusiastic developers, to build something absolutely fantastic.

Cyber Security & Privacy

Cyber-espionage, Cyber-bullying, Cyber-extortion, Cyber-fraud, Cyber-crime are the buzz words rolling around, today. In fact, Cyberspace has entered as a fifth domain of warfare. Nations, Organisations and Individuals are grappling with this problem struggling to protect their interests – Sovereignty, Profitability and Individuality. Use your skills in this SEGAMTHON to educate on how to create a Security-aware culture.

With over 30 teams registered, we've embarked on an exciting 48-hour journey. Here are a few things to keep in mind:

  • For any technical issues, we will be launching a WhatsApp group today at 7 PM. You can post your queries there.
  • Don't be afraid to pivot, and try something new, out-of-the-box
  • Most importantly, don't waste time!
  • Post the virtual hackathon, if you're shortlisted as finalist, be prepared to present your game to the world.

Finalists get a chance to showcase their games and attend AISS 2015 in December, where the winning team gets the super grand prize of Rs 1,00,000.

Team Requirements:
You can participate solo or as team. Teams should be composed of maximum four participants. Recommended team size is three participants, blending a mix of technical and creative talents.

Languages & Tools:
Applications may be assembled using any mix of programming languages, application frameworks, and development tools. Participants are expected to bring the necessary hardware and software tools to build their competition entry.

Your team's Entry may be disqualified if DSCI has reason to believe, in its sole discretion, that your Entry

  • Contains any element that is malicious, corrupt, damaged, incomplete, inappropriate, or offensive;
  • Violates the terms of use of any social media service, website, mobile application or any other platform used in connection with your Entry;
  • Infringes any third party intellectual property rights;
  • Violates any applicable law, or
  • Violates or does not comply with any section of these Official Rules

DSCI Security Games Hackathon makes no claim to any intellectual property, source code, or applications developed as part of this event.

Press Release:
By participating as a competitor in the DSCI SEGAMATHON 2015, participants grant organizers and participating members of the media rights to publicly disclose competition event information, review and describe applications developed and presented during the event, and rights to display event-related photos, screen shots, and links to publicly available demonstrations of contest entries.

Top 5 teams will be entitled to two Complimentary Passes and Opportunity to showcase their Game to Security Leaders of the Country at NASSCOM-DSCI 10th Annual Information Security Summit 2015 in December at New Delhi


An expert jury will score participating teams on fun / playability, concept, design, originality. Top five teams will be invited to showcase their games at the Hack - Pavilion at the 10th NASSCOM-DSCI Annual Information Security Summit in New Delhi, where the winning team will also be announced.
