The DSCI FINSEC Conclave has been acting as a leading conference in the country, focusing on the Cyber Security and Data Protection imperatives of the BFSI sector. This year's conclave will take a look at the growth trajectory of the country’s financial sector and critically examine Security and Privacy concerns associated with current and possibly future digitization context. The two days of FINSEC will focus on bringing together key stakeholders from Mutual Funds, Securities, Insurance & Pension sectors to deliberate on imperatives and preparedness on themes such as Consumer Trust, Resiliency for digital enterprises, Data Enterprises, Contactless transactions and payments, Financial Innovation, among others.
India has been witnessing rapid digitization of transaction processing. The volume of transactions is rising as financial instruments are becoming increasingly accessible to the people. State push and interventions, regulatory enablement, and innovation drive the pace of adoption and experimentations. The industry is now recognized with various players, ranging from payment service providers, technology, FinTechs, mobile device manufacturers, and even social media. The age of mobility, devices, IoT, data science, and AI/ML opens new opportunities. The industry is witnessing a push for opening infrastructure, applications, and data, making it more participatory, enticing a new set of players for their entry.
The DSCI FINSEC Conclave has been acting as a leading conference in the country, focusing on the Cyber Security and Data Protection imperatives of the BFSI sector. 2020 was a stand- out year because of the unprecedented outbreak. This led to the world adopting remote working and virtual environments and transactions. Consequently, this time around, FINSEC is going to be held in virtual mode.
FINSEC 2021 is going to be taking a keen look at the growth trajectory of country’s financial sector and critically examine the Security and Privacy concerns associated with the current and possibly the future digitization context. It would endeavour to accomplish this by calling upon the expertise, experience and foresight of leaders, practitioners, policy makers, researchers, developers and innovators. While the nefarious elements continue to upgrade their arsenal to infiltrate the networks of organizations, the organizations are also trying to equip themselves with state-of-the-art security measures. Unfortunately, the equation is still a bit skewed towards the former.
Country is working towards finalizing its first Data Protection legislation and once the law comes into effect, the obligations on the organizations would certainly become more prominent and would warrant concerted privacy programs which are actionable and adaptable. The Conclave would adequately address this aspect by calling out the same
Two days of FINSEC would also have a specific focus on bringing together key stakeholders from sectors such as Mutual Funds, Securities, Insurance & Pension to deliberate on the imperatives and preparedness of their respective sector. The Conclave would entail deliberations in multiple formats on themes such as Consumer Trust, Resiliency for digital enterprises, Future of Financial work, Data Enterprises, Contactless transactions and payments, rapid application deployment, Financial Innovation, among others.
In essence, the Summit would bring into perspective the current Cyber Security landscape of country’s BFSI sector by drawing attention to the technological flux which is fuelling digitization and engendering Security & Privacy concerns and opportunities.
