FINSEC Conclave 2020

The digitization journey has made significant headway since April 2019 when country’s BFSI sector congregated for the second edition of the DSCI FINSEC Conclave last year. The timeline has certainly been very busy and at the same time fascinating, thought provoking and daunting. What makes it so is the fact that organizations from the financial services sector have been relentlessly looking at ways and means of reaching out to the customers with the object of providing highly personalized services in a seamless fashion. India with its robust backbone of payments infrastructure is setting an example for the rest of the globe. Extremely innovative products, solutions and services, an omnichannel approach and the rapidly growing scale, volume and velocity of transactions continue to shape this particular sector, thereby making it hyper digitalized and prone to disruption...

Extremely innovative products, solutions and services, an omnichannel approach and the rapidly growing scale, volume and velocity of transactions continue to shape this particular sector, thereby making it hyper digitalized and prone to disruption.

FINSEC 2020 is going to be taking a keen look at the growth trajectory of country’s financial sector and critically examine the Security and Privacy concerns associated with the current and possibly the future digitization context. It would endeavour to accomplish this by calling upon the expertise, experience and foresight of leaders, practitioners, policy makers, researchers, developers and innovators. While the nefarious elements continue to upgrade their arsenal to infiltrate the networks of organizations, the organizations are also trying to equip themselves with state-of-the-art security measures. Unfortunately, the equation is still a bit skewed towards the former.

Country is working towards finalizing its first Data Protection legislation and once the law comes into effect, the obligations on the organizations would certainly become more prominent and would warrant concerted privacy programs which are actionable and adaptable. The Conclave would adequately address this aspect by calling out the same.

Two days of FINSEC would also have a specific focus on bringing together key stakeholders from sectors such as Mutual Funds, Securities, Insurance & Pension to deliberate on the imperatives and preparedness of their respective sector.

In essence, the Summit would bring into perspective the current Cyber Security landscape of country’s BFSI sector by drawing attention to the technological flux which is fuelling digitization and engendering Security & Privacy concerns and opportunities.
