Category 1: DSCI Excellence Award for Best Security Practices in an organization

DSCI Excellence Award for Best Security Practices in Banking Sector

  • Eligibility Criteria:
    • Applicant must be a banking company (Private Sector Banks, Public Sector Banks, Payment Banks), operating in India, and should have been providing banking related services as per RBI norms and other related laws of the land.
    • Application would be eligible for evaluation only if this award category receives 3 or more than 3 different nominations.

DSCI Excellence Award for Best Security Practices in IT-ITeS/BPM Sector – Large

  • Eligibility Criteria:
    • Applicant must be an IT- ITeS/BPM company, operating for a minimum of 3 years in India with a turnover of INR 1000 crores or more for the financial year 2016 – 2017.

    • Application would be eligible for evaluation only if this award category receives 3 or more than 3 different nominations.

DSCI Excellence Award for Best Security Practices in IT-ITeS/BPM Sector – MSME

  • Eligibility Criteria:
    • Applicant must be an IT- ITeS/BPM company, operating in India with a turnover of less than INR 1000 crores for the financial year 2016 – 2017.

    • Your application would be eligible for evaluation only if this award category receives 3 or more than 3 different nominations.

DSCI Excellence Award for Best Security Practices in Energy Sector

  • Eligibility Criteria:
    • Applicant must be an energy sector organization operating in India (Petroleum, Oil & Gas, Power – Coal, Nuclear, Renewable sources of energy (Hydro, Solar, etc.))

    • Application would be eligible for evaluation only if this award category receives 3 or more than 3 different nominations.

DSCI Excellence Award for Best Security Practices in G2C Services

  • Eligibility Criteria:
    • Applicant must be an Indian government department/ organization/ ministry (central or state or district level) providing digital services to the citizens.

    • Application would be eligible for evaluation only if this award category receives 3 or more than 3 different nominations.

DSCI Excellence Award for Best Security Practices in Critical Information Infrastructure

  • Eligibility Criteria:
    • Applicant must be an organization operating in India and belongs to telecom, transport, healthcare sector or any other critical information infrastructure.

    • Application would be eligible for evaluation only if this award category receives 3 or more than 3 different nominations.

DSCI Excellence Award for Best Security Practices in Insurance Sector

  • Eligibility Criteria:
    • Applicant must be an insurance company (Private or Public Sector), operating in India, and should have been providing insurance services as per IRDA norms and other related laws of the land.

    • Application would be eligible for evaluation only if this award category receives 3 or more than 3 different nominations.


Category 2: DSCI Excellence Award for Industry leaders

DSCI Excellence Award for Security Leader of the Year

  • Eligibility Criteria:
    • Individual must have been performing leadership roles in security as a CISO/ CSO/ VP/ Director/ Security head or equivalent.
    • Individual should be from Indian private or public sector.
    • Individual for whom IT security management comprises at least 50% of his / her role.
    • Individuals nominating for ‘Privacy Leader of the Year’ category cannot nominate in this category.
    • Application would be eligible for evaluation only if this award category receives 3 or more than 3 different nominations.

DSCI Excellence Award for Privacy Leader of the Year

  • Eligibility Criteria:
    • Individual must have been performing leadership roles in privacy.

    • Individual should be from Indian private or public sector.

    • Individual for whom privacy management comprises at least 25% of his / her role.

    • Individuals nominating for ‘Security Leader of the Year’ category cannot nominate in this category.

    • Application would be eligible for evaluation only if this award category receives 3 or more than 3 different nominations.


Category 3: DSCI Excellence Award for Best Privacy Practices in an organization

DSCI Excellence Award for Best Privacy Practices in IT-ITeS/BPM Sector

  • Eligibility Criteria:
    • Applicant must be an organization from outsourcing sector/ IT-ITeS/ BPM sector operating in India.
    • Application would be eligible for evaluation only if this award category receives 3 or more than 3 different nominations.

DSCI Excellence Award for Best Privacy Practices in User Industry

  • Eligibility Criteria:
    • Applicant must be an organization, other than from the outsourcing sector operating in India (could include sectors such as Telecom, Bank, Energy, manufacturing, Healthcare, Insurance, etc.).
    • Application would be eligible for evaluation only if this award category receives 3 or more than 3 different nominations.

Category 4: DSCI Excellence Award for Cyber Security Evangelists

DSCI Excellence Award for Cyber security Services

  • Eligibility Criteria:
    • Applicant must be an organization, operating in India and should have been offering and delivering cyber security/ information security services. Companies could include but not limited to strategy, governance, security implementation, managed services, etc.
    • Application would be eligible for evaluation only if this award category receives 3 or more than 3 different nominations.

DSCI Excellence Award for Cyber security Education

  • Eligibility Criteria:
    • Applicant must be a recognized university/college/institute, and should have been offering cyber security/ information security course/degree approved/accredited by any central/state/deemed university in India.

    • The course/degree should be functional, i.e., at least one batch should be enrolled for it.

    • Your application would be eligible for evaluation only if this award category receives 3 or more than 3 different nominations.

DSCI Excellence Award for Raising Security Awareness

  • Eligibility Criteria:
    • Applicant must be an organization/entity/individual operating in India, and should have been sensitizing the cyber security/ information security to mass audience; providing security awareness to both internal and external people (customers).

    • Application would be eligible for evaluation only if this award category receives 3 or more than 3 different nominations.
