Event Overview

The maiden edition of DSCI Financial Security Conclave [FINSEC] is scheduled for 10th & 11th April 2018 in Mumbai at Taj Lands’ End.
Increasing digitization of core business processes through extensive use of Internet Technologies, shifting attention to mobility and deployment of many evolving technologies, have been reshaping the financial sector. Technology advancement in the space of financial sector ecosystem is changing our lives significantly. The technology evolution in this sector provides end consumers with agility, convenience and ability to conduct commerce at lightning speeds.


In the connected, inter-dependent and integrated world, security of financial systems is critical for offering survivable and dependable financial services to society. Entities involved in offering financial services are commercial banks, insurance companies, non-banking financial companies, cooperatives, pension funds, mutual funds and other smaller financial entities. Effective development and use of technology by them with the help of Fintech providers has enabled improvisation of core financial services, branch banking and payment infrastructure, and has rendered novel services to users through ATM, mobile wallet, robotic process automation, and digital currency etc.
However, it has also expanded the threat surface and hence the financial sector is witnessing increased and targeted attacks, which are increasingly becoming more advanced and innovative. Along with, regulators are taking notice, they are building and implementing new public policies, legislations and controls for cyber risks to address the growing threat to the BFSI ecosystem.

FINSEC would endeavour to reflect upon the contemporary BFSI cyber security space and also fathom the future possibilities, scenarios and use cases. Cyber security of financial transactions and its associate operational infrastructure is of prime importance. Given the accelerated adoption of digital payments and making India cashless; the nation warrants a special focus on financial sector cyber security posture.
FINSEC 2018 will focus, among other things, on financial sector security, threat landscape, fintech innovation, tenets of digitization, data protection and privacy implications for BFSI, et al. A glimpse of the few interesting sessions include Artificial Intelligence – Analytics for fraud detection and breach response, platform security, threat hunting, non-banking digital payments and challenges, blockchain technology, public policies and frameworks, Digital Forensics and Cryptocurrencies.


FINSEC would facilitate congregation of decision makers, thought leaders and influencers, policy makers, government, law enforcement officers and think tanks. Two days of FINSEC journey would be full of opportunities, experiences, and possibilities. The event will provide you an opportunity for gaining the mindshare of the security community professionals, network with security decision-makers and influencers, engage people from financial as well as other sectors, demonstrate your capabilities and develop business opportunities. The event will also guide organizations and individuals on how to make comprehensive security decisions that will define future business course.

The event shall host 60+ Speakers, 300+ Participants, and 20+ Sessions including plenaries, keynotes, visionary talks, digital modelling sessions, parallel tracks, focused meetups and round tables.
FINSEC 2018 calls upon the Cyber Security fraternity of the country to come together and weave the Cyber Security agenda for country’s BFSI ecosystem in order to bolster the Digital Innovation agenda and aspire for a robust financial architecture.
