Annual Information Security Summit 2016

The NASSCOM-DSCI Annual Information Security Summit marches into its second decade this year.  Information Security, which was at a nascent stage a decade back, has matured taking centre stage in deliberations of Governments and Enterprises. Security discipline has been evolving rapidly with accelerated innovations in digital technologies. Evolving beyond the technological boundaries, Security has transitioned beyond compliance agenda to become a strategic and policy enabler.

The accentuated threat landscape facing countries and businesses has not only driven organizations to develop robust security roadmaps, but has also contributed to the development of various disciplines of security. While internal drivers are forcing organizations to improve their security baseline, the extrinsic drivers, which stem from the concerns of national security and global cyber space, have emerged as a significant force in the recent past. Global deliberations are now focused around ‘Cyber Security’.

AISS 2016, will deep dive into ‘Cyber Security’ as the full impact of the digital transformation is beginning to unfold. AISS 2016, as it embarks on its journey of a second decade will harness global thought leadership in Cyber Security, and India’s Technology minds to create an enriching experience. Coming December 2016, Cyber Security Thought Leaders, Practitioners, Policy Specialists and new age Technology Innovators will assemble in Delhi, to create a unique discussion and showcase platform.

AISS will track closely the industry and business trends, strategies, approaches, best practices and deliberate on the changing nature of threats and their impact on various industry sectors. It will focus on in-depth ramifications of these developments for India’s preparedness to address country’s and global challenges in Cyber Security. AISS 2016 will investigate into key technical, engineering, architectural, procedural and policy issues shaping the security ecosystem.

Technology shifts and disruptions,  Internet of Things, digitization platforms, digital payments, wearables, smart grids, robotic process automation, role of machine learning, cognitive computing, security data science would underscore the discussions at AISS 2016. Industry experts will share insights on how these trends are shaping various verticals. It will also facilitate a dialogue on cooperation between technology and user industries, government, law enforcement authorities and global stakeholders.

With 70+ sessions, 130+ speakers and 700+ participants, AISS 2016 will host plenaries, visionary talks, master classes, in-depth workshops, parallel tracks, focus group meetings and round tables and platform technology showcase and networking.

This year ‘SEGAMATHON- Security Gamification Hackathon’, Simulations, Demo Theater, Community Meetups, Forum Meets, Student Zone will form the special attractions. The summit will be marked by presence of key influencers and decision makers in the realm of Cyber Security.

The Summit will host as always, annual DSCI Excellence Awards to recognize best practices adopted by the industry, exemplary work carried out in the field of security and privacy, and reward visionary leaders.  It will also host DSCI ‘Innovation Box’ for identifying the ‘Most Innovative Security Product of the Year.
