Excellence Awards 2014
In line with the objective to raise the level of security and privacy of IT and BPO service providers in order to assure their clients and other stakeholders that India is a secure destination for global sourcing and also promote data protection in domestic industry segments like Banking, Telecom and E- governance, DSCI instituted the ‘DSCI Excellence Awards’ in 2011. In the very first year, (DSCI Excellence Awards 2011), DSCI received 60 nominations representing 52 organisations across 10 categories in the corporate segment while 24 nominations were received in the law enforcement segment. The winners were felicitated by Shri Sachin Pilot, Minister of State, MCIT. In the second edition (DSCI Excellence Awards 2012), DSCI received 78 nominations in corporate segment and 17 nominations in law enforcement segment. The winners were felicitated by Ms. Latha Reddy, Dy. NSA, Government of India. In its third edition (DSCI Excellence Awards 2013),DSCI received 65 nominations in corporate segment and 14 nominations in law enforcement segment. The winners were felicitated by ShriG.K. Pillai, Former Home Secretary,Government of India.
Through the awards in the corporate segment, DSCI recognizes and honoursorganizations and individuals who have shown high level of preparedness and excelled in the area of information security and privacy. For law enforcement segment, DSCI recognizes and honours state police and investigation agencies for capacity building of police officers for investigating and solving cybercrime cases and the individual officers who have shown excellence in cybercrime investigation.
DSCI Excellence Awards 2014 will continue to have 2 award segments – Corporate Awards and Awards for Law Enforcement Agencies. However, categories within the corporate segment have been updated this year.
