Data Security Council of India (DSCI), set up by Nasscom, is a not-for-profit industry body and think tank on data protection, cyber security, and critical technologies in India.

DSCI is committed to making cyberspace safe, secure, and privacy-assured, and to advancing critical technologies vital for national security – through policy advocacy, thought leadership, capacity building, and outreach initiatives.

DSCI engages with the government, regulators, defence, law enforcement agencies, embassies, industry members, and academia to position India as a leader in the global digital ecosystem.

To make India a global leader in cyber security, privacy, and critical technologies by harnessing opportunities of a thriving digital economy and to enhance India’s preparedness and capabilities for a safer, secure and trusted cyberspace.

Objectives

Be a trusted advisor to the government in cyber security, privacy strategy, critical technologies, and tech policymaking in the country.

Scale outreach initiatives and events to the global level and widen collaboration, partnership and information exchange in the country.

Promote innovation & entrepreneurship to grow cyber security products and services industry globally and domestic market.

Develop cybersecurity community through initiatives arounds skill development (i.e., focussing on re-skilling & up-skilling) and awareness.

Help assess and promote maturity of organization and digital products through robust assurance ecosystem.

Promote adoption of frontier technologies to advance the cyber ecosystem and contribute to the safety of critical infrastructure important for national security.
