Annual Information Security Summit 2014

Annual Information Security Summit will host its 9th version in Mumbai this year from 10th to 11th Dec. The summit has proved itself as the meeting point of security, and now privacy professionals of India. AISS has established itself as a confluence of communities traversing varied paths in different verticals, at different levels and different categories of work. It provides multiple avenues, covers broad agenda, delves to desired depth, captures contemporary momentum and trends and ensures intriguing deliberations. Each year it adds up the agenda, expands the scope, extends coverage and creates new opportunities.

AISS 2014 promises to take it to the new level with many new features, introduction of new types of sessions, incorporation of many new ideas and exploration of content that is contemporary and futuristic. It will investigate the contemporary security world practiced by industry verticals, from the perspective of technology, organizational challenges, tactical requirements and strategic directions. The contemporary world is characterized by a paradigm shift driven by social media, mobility, analytics and cloud computing. Disruptive use of technology, competitive market forces, rising level of expectations, and time constraints are driving businesses to be more innovative, agile and lean. Security is going through a phenomenal change, encountering new but rising and complexifying challenges. Sophistication, innovation, persistence and industrialization of attacks add to the woes. Cyber security changes references of information security, where national interests converge with organizational drivers. Both of them have ramifications to the health of global cyberspace. Hence, it is important to discover security through prism of national security, national policies, law & regulation and global diplomacy. They pose significant challenge to security strategy, architectural evolutions and operational processes. While we are grappling with security, privacy is gradually claiming its stake in organizational ecosystem. In fact, it is capturing the mindset of professionals, from security and other streams such as legal, corporate communication, HR, etc. Privacy, although known for historical, philosophical and legal connotation associated with it, has now come for implementation in an organizational ecosystem. AISS 2014 will take privacy further with thorough deliberations.

AISS 2014 will provide diverse ways to deliberate the content, through intense workshops, panel discussions, keynotes, parallel tracks, roundtables, breakfast sessions and peer-to-peer interactions. It will bring forward the issues of industry verticals like BFSI, IT and BPO, Telecom, Ecommerce, Manufacturing, Utilities & Energy, Travel, Transport and Hospitality. It is poised to bring professionals from user industry, government, public sectors, services, multinationals, technology providers along with policy makers, product developers, lawyers and law enforcement officials. It presents opportunities for professionals working at the level of CXOs, architect, consultant, auditor, developer, implementer, administrator and investigator. It will examine the security profession, its evolution and future prospects. It will also assess the privacy profession in the country. It will try to look into future of security, distant from now.

AISS 2014, as a regular feature, will host DSCI Excellence Award, the most prestigious and coveted awards in the field of security, privacy and cybercrime investigation. The award will be distributed across 15 industry categories and 2 law enforcement categories. It will also host a comprehensive exhibition, showcasing cutting age technologies and service innovations.

AISS 2014 will traverse yet another milestone in providing opportunities, presenting quality content, ensuring high level of deliberations matching the expectations and aspiration of security and privacy profession. While doing so it will give enough room for networking with peers and technology providers.
