We are pleased to share our Annual Report for the year 2020-21. The report succinctly provides a glimpse of our major developments and key initiatives undertaken by us in the previous year. With the onslaught of COVID-19, it pushed business models to shift dramatically and as soon as business-as-usual seemed challenging, we engaged with various industry leaders to create business resiliency plans and guide companies the way forward. The pandemic, however, gave us an opportunity to broad base our activities and amplify our reach to new set of stakeholders, and engage them with novel approaches and formats.
DSCI’s National Centre of Excellence and Telangana Cybersecurity Centre of Excellence have been steadfast in developing the Cyber Security industry in the country through a series of initiatives such as skill-building, start-up incubation, facilitating technology development and investment, collaborating with academic institutions for R&D, and overall ecosystem development to promote India as a global hub for Cyber Security.
Promoting innovation and start-ups is a core part of the DSCI charter and we have been driving it through various initiatives throughout the year.
We also launched a new certification program, DCSSE – DSCI Certified Security Solution Engineer, designed for experienced security professionals. Throughout the year, DSCI focused on end-user awareness initiatives such as Stay Cyber Safe campaign, celebrated Data Privacy Day, and National Cyber Security Awareness Month to make citizens aware of security concepts, digital hygiene, and privacy basics.
As part of our Women in Security initiative, we continued to expand the Cyber Security talent pool for meeting the industry's hiring needs and furthering the larger objective of diversity and inclusion. Apart from this, our work in the areas of Public Advocacy, Data Privacy, Thought Leadership, Cyber Forensics, Capacity Building and Threat Advisory have been captured in the report. We have also amped our Threat Intelligence & Research initiative to now release daily threat alerts and monthly advisories to help keep our community alert and aware.
All of these and more have been extensively covered in this edition of the Annual Report. We thank all our stakeholders and members for the continued support and engagement in all our initiatives, and hope, the report serves as a valuable and meaningful read.
