We are delighted to present our Annual Report for the fiscal year 2022-23. This report provides a concise overview of the significant advancements and key initiatives undertaken by DSCI. Throughout the year, we had the opportunity to launch a variety of programs, campaigns, and initiatives, with a primary focus on bolstering cybersecurity readiness and capabilities among our important stakeholders. We maintained continuous engagement with our members, actively participating in ongoing policy developments and leadership sessions, thereby expanding our influence within the industry and reaching new geographic regions. With the introduction of our innovative programs and credentials, we successfully expanded our outreach beyond CISOs to involve board members, leaders, associations, and executives from diverse sectors.

DSCI produced a series of crucial publications, which were distributed to both Nasscom and DSCI members. We initiated a project that brought together thought leaders from various fields, including industry, policy, diplomacy, and law, to collaboratively craft articles and viewpoints on important contemporary topics. These contributions were compiled into an edited volume, marking our inaugural venture into this format, titled 'Gearing Up for Digital ++: Reimagining Security and Trust.'

To cover legal, technical, and procedural aspects of Cybercrime investigation, CCITR unveiled the 3rd edition of the Cybercrime Investigation Manual which comprises of 03 volumes, including 31 chapters and 11 annexures. To promote the adoption of privacy best practices across sectors and businesses, DSCI released sector specific guides under its Sectoral Privacy Project with an initial emphasis on three pivotal sectors: Banking, Insurance, and Healthcare.

DSCI forged partnerships with government entities and key stakeholders to formulate policy discussions pertaining to critical areas, including privacy, cybercrime mitigation, internet governance, data management, payment security, etc. We provided round the year consultations on the Digital Personal Data Protection Regulation.

In the past year, DSCI's Global Trade Development initiative played a crucial in making India a global hub for Cybersecurity through delegations, specialized groups, and on-ground engagements. It helped in building some valuable partnerships with international allies through engagement with Embassies, High Commissions, and Trade Agencies of prominent countries in India.

DSCI has been at the forefront of promoting data security, privacy, and cybersecurity through flagship events. The 17th edition of AISS 2022 and the 12th edition of DSCI Excellence Awards marked a return to physical mode. TechSagar's inaugural event, TechNation gathered thought leaders and industry experts to discuss critical technology capabilities essential for national security.

This edition of the Annual Report comprehensively covers these areas and other updates. We express our gratitude to all our stakeholders and members for their ongoing support and active involvement in our initiatives. We trust that this report will serve as a valuable and meaningful read about DSCI and its initiatives in 2022-23.
