The Reserve Bank of India has released the draft Guidance on Regulatory Expectations for Data Governance, setting out expectations for how Regulated Entities should govern data as an organizational asset. It proposes a proportionate Data Governance Framework with Board oversight, defined governance roles, lifecycle-based data management, and requirements relating to data quality, architecture, and secure data sharing with third parties.
