The response to last year’s wallpaper was staggering. It became part of around 6, 00,000 office desktops in around 100+ organizations.
This year we have endeavoured to produce a more visually appealing wallpaper which succinctly captures the basic tenets of data privacy.
Employees play an important role in protecting both organisational data and that of their clients. They are also responsible for managing privacy and driving data privacy culture within their organisation and in the ecosystem. Underscoring the significance of an employee’s role as ‘Privacy Ambassador’ in an organisation, this year’s wallpaper theme predominantly highlights the onus of every employee in their Privacy protection journey.
Data Privacy Day presents itself as an opportunity to further the long-standing goal of robust use and transfer of data in a fashion that is responsible and protected. The wallpaper serves as a means of disseminating the message of data protection to the business fraternity of the country and raising the Privacy quotient of the stakeholders, thereby fostering a culture of trust.
