DSCI-Entrust Datacard RT Meeting on Trus

Smart card technology is comprised of three elements- digital identity, smart chips and trust infrastructure. This technology has been increasingly adopted by enterprises, financial institutions, critical infrastructure sectors and governments. Management of identities typically involve aspects such as security of digital identities, management of mobile devices, citizen identity cards, managing digital certificate, reducing cost through cloud adoption, strength of identity solutions and convergence of logical and physical access. The law enforcement agencies are also catching up with adoption of digital technologies.

Internet, inherently, allows free flow of information. There is risk of sensitive information accessed by unauthorized person. This risk is significant to the law enforcement agencies as compared to many other industry sectors. Information system developed for the purpose of law enforcement would be sensitive, and any unauthorized access the information would lead to many problems. Systems used by the agencies should have advanced security features, collaboration and exchanges of information should be on highly secure platform and they should adhere to compliance requirements. Building such secure system need to be deliberated and discussed. DSCI, in collaboration with Entrust Datacard, brings the opportunity through this seminar.
