India’s critical infrastructure is at a pivotal moment as OT systems rapidly converge with IT and cloud environments, expanding both operational opportunities and cyber risks. This paper shows that while readiness levels vary, the shift toward structured OT SOC capability is unmistakable. OT SOCs, across separate, hybrid, and converged models, are becoming essential for continuous monitoring, incident response, and regulatory compliance. Yet technology alone will not close the gap; stronger governance, skilled personnel, and OT-aware processes remain critical. With rising threat activity and increasing regulatory pressure, OT SOC implementation is now central to strengthening industrial resilience and securing the nation’s critical sectors.
