DSCI is inviting applications for a Policy Intern to join its Policy Team and contribute to research and policy initiatives at the intersection of technology, regulation and emerging technologies.
Internship Details:
This will be a paid Internship.
Internship Duration: 3 months, with the possibility of extension up to 6 months based on performance and organisational requirements.
Mode of Internship: Hybrid (Base location will be Noida).
Expected Start Date: October or November 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct policy and regulatory research across areas such as AI Governance, AI Trust & Safety, Data Governance, Internet Governance, Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI), FinTech and Emerging and Frontier Technologies.
Contribute to ongoing projects and engagements by supporting research, analysis, documentation, stakeholder interactions, and other activities aligned with the Policy Team's priorities.
Eligibility:
Applicants should be students pursuing one of the following: (a) Final year students pursuing their Master's degree/diploma in Public Policy, STEM or Technology Law; (b) 4th or 5th year students pursuing a 5-year law degree, preferably specializing in Technology Law and/or AI Law.
Candidates should be available to commence the internship in October or November 2026.
Skills & Competencies:
A demonstrated interest in digital and technology policy.
Full professional proficiency in English.
Familiarity with global technology policy issues.
An understanding of the application of technology across sectors and a strong interest in learning about emerging technologies and their technical and policy implications.
Strong research, writing, and editing skills with excellent attention to detail.
